Estimated delivery: 15–20 business days.
Men's shirt with no front button placket that is pulled on over the head, in the style of pirate shirts. The neckline opens in a vertical slit closed with a black criss-cross cord tied in a bow at the top, and on each side there are several vertical pintucks alongside a strip of lace. The collar is small and can be worn up or open.
The fabric is a black cotton jacquard with a tone-on-tone pattern that only shows up close, giving the shirt the look of old-time clothing without overloading it. The sleeves are wide and fall in a lantern shape down to the cuff. It goes with jacquard or dress trousers and tall boots; the trousers and shoes in the photos are sold separately.
Key features
- Adjustable neckline: loosening or tightening the cord decides how far the chest opens, from almost closed to a wide V opening.
- Pintucked sleeves: the top of each sleeve repeats the vertical stitched pleats, which are released at forearm height to add volume.
- Cotton lace: the end of the sleeve pleats is finished with a fine cotton lace.
- Buttoned cuff: the sleeve gathers into a narrow cuff closed with a round metal button with an engraved surface.
- Breathable fabric: the cotton is light and lets air through, suitable for wearing under a waistcoat or a frock coat.
